About Us

Hi! My name is Jill, and together with my husband Harry, we are the owners of the Glen Farm in Vermont’s gorgeous Northeast Kingdom. Though we are the second generation to own this farm, its history extends far past our family. Our house was originally built in the late 1790s, and the barn wasn’t constructed until 1910. The name “Glen Farm” originates from the location of our farm, and gives a strong indication of those who built it. Our area has distinct Scottish roots, and since our farm is nestled in a valley of the surrounding Vermont mountains, it is believed that the name “glen” is a reference to the glens of Scotland that our home’s builders originally immigrated from.

We are always looking to expand our farm, and we hope that you’ll follow us on that journey. We love the animals that we care for, and we are deeply committed to combining agriculture with sustainability. In the coming years, we plan on investing in solar panels to power our home, as well as rainwater collection systems, starting an apiary, and allowing our land to be a safe haven for any critter who needs a home. Welcome to the Glen Farm!
